A record price was paid at Armitage Auctions on Saturday 7th September 2002. Lot 30, a rare Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) skin buggy rug was sold for $270,000, it was made up of 8 Tiger skins and measured 1180cm x 1070cm. Lot 155 a rare Tasmanian Tiger skin (Thylacine) sold for $68,000.

The value of this particular rug today would now be approaching the millions of dollars!
